The above article is an update.  Her mother went to appeal to keep her out of the psychiatric ward and lost.  She will be institutionalized because of her expression of her gender.  She will be held until she conforms to male gender and then released to foster care, not her mother who was supporting her.

Oh. Apparently the crappy junior college I went to is going like, completely bankrupt. As in, the faculty and staff haven’t been paid in three months and won’t be paid over the summer bankrupt. The president (that asshole) resigned in disgrace bankrupt.

There’s a little bit of vindictive glee but mostly worrying about the small handful of teachers that were really awesome. I hope my old art prof is doing okay.

Sometimes when I’m down, I think about cardboard boxes. I think about having a badass cardboard box big enough to turn upside down and curl up under and make a fort out of. It’s my fortress and no one can get me and it’s my own little world, where work doesn’t matter and school doesn’t matter and the only things that do matter are what I want to matter.

And then I’m sad that I don’t have such a box in reality.

But that, at least, I can fix, and it gives me a clear goal to work toward. Finding myself a box.
